Sire Marcus Miller V3 4-String Black (2nd Gen)
The Bodies on the Sire Guitar V3 Series of Marcus Miller – Sire Basses are made from Indonesian Mahogany which gives a warm, clear and full bodied sound. Using this wood as opposed to cheaper Basswood, Nato or Agathhis means the quality of the instrument is superior to other instruments in the same price bracket.
The Necks 1 piece are made from Canadian Hard Maple, they feel and look premium quality. This 1 piece neck minimizes the loss of vibration giving you more sustain. The Neck has rolled fretboard edges which you would normally only see on custom shop instruments. Unlike typical fretboards the rounded edges give users a firmer and more natural grip.
The All Steel Bridges which are normally reserved for more expensive instruments achieve a better tone as well as lasting longer. More often than not, a cheaper Zinc Alloy is used but Marcus Miller aim to give you high quality at a lower price. This bridge is also a Thru-Body, again normally used on higher end instruments.
If all that isn’t enough to tempt you then the Marcus Heritage-3 Pre-Amp will tip you over the edge. Using a 18V battery it allows the player to attain an unaltered natural sound with strong and powerful output. The 3 Band EQ helps you get the tone you want for any situation. All models are built with the option of Active or Passive. In Passive mode your still have Volume, Tone and Pickup Balancer working for you. To top it all off instead of using plastic for the battery compartment cover, its Ash. Making it durable and long lasting!
